NgoerahHospital, located in Denpasar, Bali, is one of the largest publichospitals in Indonesia and has beendesignated as a Class A teaching hospital by the regional government. With more than 700 beds, the hospital serves as a major public healthcare institution andmedical education center for Bali Province.
As a national-level medical unit, its communication system must meet the highest standards of stability, security to ensure smooth coordination across departments and emergency services.
The hospital’s previous IP PBX analog system had been in service for many years. Aging equipment, discontinued spare parts, and rising maintenance costs made it increasingly difficult to operate.
To modernize its communication platform while ensuring continuity of service, the hospital selected New Rock's IP PBX + OM200G + MX60E+ OM1000 solution and successfully completing the migration from Analog System to IP without disruption.
With a total capacity of more than 700 beds, the hospital requires its communication system to meet the highest standards of stability, security, and interoperability, ensuring smooth coordination across departments and 24/7 emergency operations.
Challenges:
?Full-call recording (compliance requirement) to ensure all critical medical communications are traceable and auditable.

Our Solution:
POLI Building
The POLI Building uses a Newrock OM200G as the main IP PBX. This device serves as the central management center for all VoIP extensions and trunks between buildings, thus serving as the core of the hospital's internal communications system. To support connectivity with existing analog telephones, a Newrock MX60E (FXS Gateway) device is used. This MX60E (FXS) device acts as a media converter from SIP to analog, allowing analog telephones to continue operatingwithout needing to be replaced with new IP phones. This means all analog telephones in the POLI Building can continue to communicate with the OM200G IPPBX system using the same SIP protocol as other IP devices.
The Emergency Room building still uses a conventional analog PBX system as its local telephone infrastructure. To integrate this system with the SIP-based communication network in other buildings, a Newrock OM1000 device is used as ananalog-to-SIP trunk converter. This way, calls to and from the ER building can be routed over the SIP network, enabling inter-building communication without the limitations of analog or IP systems.
The KIA Building uses a standalone IP PBX that is already VoIP-basedwithout additional conversion. However, this IP PBX can still connect to theinter-building network via a fiber optic backbone for cross-site communication.
Like the KIA Building, the NSWAC Building also has a standalone IP PBX that is VoIP-based without additional conversion.
